Are there any plans for a Linux version ?
Yes, I could port one very quickly (but have no means of testing it). Stay tuned!
Thanks for the response and for being up front about it. If a developer puts out a Linux version without testing I actually don't mind so long as they say so. It helps to keep expectations in check. If you are able to mae it happen count me in for a full price purchase !
Added a Linux demo per your request. As mentioned I don't currently have a Linux system so unable to test. If it works for your configuration and you are interested in the full game then let me know. I can upload that next. Hope this helps, and enjoy Paladin Dream! :)
So I have some initial news. I have done a real quick test on my 3 systems and the demo launches on 2 of the 3. It does crash on one system when launching through the Itch.io app. I have already sent a bug report to Itch.io in case it is with their app. The error I got was "Exit code 0xffffffff (-1) for (nw)". I tried copying the entire error code from the log but it won't allow me to copy the text as it is in the app. My other 2 systems it launches fine on though through the app.
My systems where it worked:
AMD FX-6100 | 16GB DDR3-1333 CL | EVGA GT 730 1GB | Mesa 19.2.8 | Trisquel 9.0 | Mate 1.20.0 | Kernel 4.15.0-106-generic
Lenovo T61 laptop | Intel Core2 Duo T7300 @ 2.00 GHz | 4GB DDR2-667 RAM | Nvidia Quadro NVS 140M | Mesa 18.0.5 | Trisquel 8.0 | Mate | Kernel 4.4.0-184-generic
The system that crashed on:
AMD Ryzen 5 2600X | 16GB DDR4-3000 CL15 | MSI RX 5700 XT Gaming X 8GB | Mesa 20.0.7 | Manjaro 20.0.3 | Mate 1.24 | Kernel 5.7.0-3-MANJARO
Thanks for sharing this information! This game was made with RPGmaker MV which does an automatic port to Linux (does not specify distribution) and I currently only have PC / Mac hardware to test. Glad you got it working on one of your system, and I can make a note of the specs! If you decide you want the finished / paid version then I can make that version available later today. Hope you enjoy the game and thanks so much again for trying it. :)
